Accessory - Wandering Dude Live Terrarium Plant

 A "wandering dude" or Inch Plant (Tradescantia zebrina) makes a great addition to your mantis setup. It is especially suitable as a habitat / terrarium plant because it thrives in high humidity, adds vibrant color and is easy to care for and propagate. It is a houseplant known for its fast-spreading growth and colorful leaves. This varietal sports pretty blue flowers when in bloom (see photo) and is non-variegated. Due to its potentially offensive nature, the name "wandering Jew" for the plant is increasingly being replaced with the "wandering dude" or "inch plant" common name.  

Caution: This plant can be invasive if planted in your garden.  It's this hardiness that makes the plant a fast grower and easy to care for in your terrarium enclosure setup. It can also be toxic to dogs.

Your rooted cutting (plantlet) will be shipped bare root and ready to be planted. You have the option of adding a 4'' container and potting soil to the bare rooted cutting where you can plant it. It could also be planted in a terrarium that has soil.

• Care: Plant in a small pot or directly into your terrarium or enclosure which contains well draining potting soil. Provide bright, indirect light and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
• Due to its fast-growing nature, you may need to prune it regularly to prevent it from outgrowing the terrarium or enclosure.
• Size:  About 3 - 4''  long when received. They will grow fast!
