This kit is available with or without the mantis egg case (ootheca). If you include the egg case, it will hatch out many living nymphs (babies) for you and your class to raise as you proceed through the workshop and observation lab.

The 24 page workshop and observation lab included with this kit is a complete praying mantis information lesson and hands-on experience teaching students all about this insect. As you can see by the table of contents, there are extensive observation logs and journals, a variety of interactive activities, quizzes, diagrams, a vocabulary sheet, mantis care sheet, creative games and a printable "medal of excellence" upon completion.

You will explore insect biology, behavior, habitats and life cycles in a hands on, fun and exciting way.
