You'll need plenty of fruit flies to feed your praying mantis and our fruit fly culturing kit is a great way to save money while easily breeding plenty of flies. From newborn to juvenile, our flightless fruit flies are one of the best live feeders for your mantis buddies. Each new fly culture will last about a month a produce hundreds and hundreds of flies!

These flies come in your choice of two sizes - 1/16'' and 1/8'' and neither can fly. Feed your newborn praying mantis the smaller flies for a week or two and then introduce the larger ones to keep giving your growing pet the meat it needs to become a healthy adult. It's a good idea to give them other items for a balanced diet, such as silkworms.
