Praying Mantises are hungry, voracious eaters that need live food. Fruit Flies are one of the best and most common first meals for your newborn and juvenile praying mantids. These Fruit Flies DO NOT fly. They are wingless drosophila melanogaster and are about 1/16th inch.

The culture will feed the flies that come with the order and allow the propagation of additional generations of flies. The lifespan of the culture and flies is normally 3-4 weeks.
