This is a wonderful and charming story that is written from the point of view of P. Mantis. We get a bug's-eye-view on the life cycle of the praying mantis in this hilarious, scientifically accurate nature diary as we follow this insect through her whole summer.

The illustrations are fabulous, beautifully rendered and yet whimsical and fun! It is a book to read for both pure enjoyment and for little ones who love to explore and read about their favorite creature.  Also a great read for kids in the classroom.
