Silkworms - Extra Small
Feed your Praying Mantises Silkworms and watch them grow like magic!
Silkworms are an extremely nutritious soft-bodied caterpillar that feeds exclusively on mulberry leaves or
our prepared silkworm food. Your order will include enough mulberry food to feed the silkworms for a week or two and full instructions on silkworm care.
Extra small silkworms are generally 1/4'' - 1/2''. Don't worry too much about the size of the silkworm - they
are soft-bodied and not too strong so your mantises can eat silkworms larger than they are! These may be occasionally less
than the specified size, but they do grow fast.

Silkworm Food
This is food for silkworms, not food for praying mantis.
Silkworms only eat the leaves of the mulberry tree or our prepared silkworm food, which is made from mulberry leaf powder and
comes to you in a paste form. Store the food in the fridge and grate it over the silkworms when it's time to feed them. They
should be fed at least once a day. Instructions included.
Please note- Our extra small silkworms offered above come with enough silkworm food to last a week or so. If you will be keeping your
silkworms longer than that or you want to grow them to a larger size, you'll need more silkworm food.

Rice Flour Beetle Larvae
Rice Flour Beetles and Larvae are one of the best feeders to purchase WITH your mantis egg case
because if the ootheca (egg case) hatches early, at least you'll have something on hand until
your flightless fruit flies arrive.
Also, the Rice Flour Beetle Culture lasts for months with no maintenance, so it will be on hand in case you
run out of flies.
Because the timing of the egg case can be unpredictable, many folks are caught off guard without food and their mantids end up starving.
Order your food EARLY, and this won't happen to your nymphs.
